Low-Cost Setup

To set up a Fine Jewellery Business the showroom requires expensive diamond jewellery stock.  The cost to stock and produce Diamond Jewellery is often a barrier to entry.  Even if the store is stocked with expensive live jewellery at about $2.5 million it is often not sold and sits accruing financing costs and expensive bank interest. At Polished Diamonds, we have minimal to no live jewellery stock – we use prototypes for clients to try on and to showcase sparkle and luxury.

At Polished Diamonds – Jewellery Design we sell unique and custom-made jewellery – it, therefore, needs to be created for each client.  Even generic engagement ring styles still need to be resized for a unique finger size and we can make an entire ring in about the same amount of time. We, therefore, stock our Design Studios with inexpensive prototype silver and CZ models.  Clients try on rings without security concerns with expensive livestock and work through what they like.  We then design a 3D CAD model to showcase the ring style they select with the actual finger size and diamond measurements for their confirmation. The insurance and security is also low as we are not using expensive live jewellery stock.  The price to establish a Design Studio is therefore low which enables more funding for marketing, brand establishment and sales.
